Hi Jacob,
Hourly graphs are not available (anymore) within channel reporting if you select one day of data.
You can query this data via the Google Analytics API though.

So can you see hourly graphs in the channels report or no? I swear I used to be able to but now I can not.

Hi Gail,

I haven’t created such a report, but I recommend not doing this kind of reporting in GA itself.
Are you familiar with Supermetrics or another application that works via the GA API? Then you can get the data into G-Sheets and analyze your data there right away.

What are your exactly struggling with?

Hi Alexander,

I don’t know if this will reach you. But if you’re still wondering about motion charts, there is one good case you can use them.

It is not about analysing but about visualising. When you show your findings to clients or partners, you can use motion charts. It will mean more to them than plain charts with many numbers. Plus, as it is moving, they can see the change in “real time.” It is effective.

Brilliant post and really helpful for people like me who are responsible for web analysis. Though it’s a bit advance topic for me but still I got some of the things which I believe I can explore further.
