Ok, turns out that I just needed to create a new container in tag manager and publish it after modifying the query parameters in my Google Analytics profile settings. Site search data is now flowing in.

I am having trouble getting data into my site search report and site speed. I have enabled site search tracking for my profile and provided the query parameter, which is [searchfor] (including the brackets. Here is an example of a URL containing the query parameter and search terms:

https://example.com/store.php?mode=searchstore&search%5Bsearchfor%5D=foo+bar

I have tried many variations of the query parameter, including [searchfor], %5Bsearchfor%5D, search[searchfor], and search%5Bsearchfor%5D. None of these seem to work.

Then I began wondering if my problem is because I have deployed by GATC using Google Tag manager. My basic GATC tag is set to fire on every page, and I am getting pageview and referral source data in GA. It’s just the site search and site speed reports that contain zero data.

Any ideas?
